Uncle Jack TR6 for sale
Update: SALE FINAL - no longer for sale
For Sale: 1971 Triumph TR-6. This was Uncle Jack's street toy and was lovingly cared for. It shows 38,736 miles on the odometer. It was repainted and the engine was freshened by the prior owner. Jack made a number of upgrades to make the car nicer to drive. The Zenith-Stromberg carburetors were replaced by SU HS-6 carburetors. The stock seats were replaced with Miata seats. I believe that the original seats are stored in an environmentally controlled area too. A cruise control system was installed. Lately Jack experienced intermittent operation of this cruise control system. A nice stereo has been installed. The car has retractable seat belts - I don't believe that was a stock option either. Triumph called this color "Saffron". The stock wheels have been replaced by Panasports. The tires look new. The car has an overdrive gearbox. It also has had a clear windbreaker installed, this makes for more relaxed top-down cruising. A center armrest with storage box has been included too.
Although there are no pictures below with the top up, the top itself is in excellent shape.
The car runs and drives very nicely. It shows 80 psi oil pressure above idle, 50 psi at 800 rpm. To the best of my knowledge, the car needs nothing, save possibly some fiddling with the cruise control.
We are asking $13,500 for this beauty.
