1977 Kawasaki KZ-1000 - top end of engine (rings, valve seals) has been serviced, 2nd gear skips when turning right (I think it's right), starter spins but doesn't engage. Rear shocks are newer, seat is a Corbin, but hasn't weathered well, chain and sprockets are new, brake pads are new, master cylinders and calipers need to be rebuit (they stick). Petcock has been replaced. New upper gaskets including head gasket, rubber half moons at end of cam replaced with metal. Header is in decent shape, I put a new insert in it when I got the bike. Replaced cables and hand grips, but chrome on cable housings looks rusty. Ran when parked, haven't ridden it in 2 yrs. Newer tires. Electrical system is in decent shape - all lights work (at least they did when I last rode it). Spare parts - used clutch disks, original lights that were replaced with less dorky looking ones, tool kit, air box (missing a few rubber pieces), spare set of stock carbs. 1992 Kawasaki Ninja 600R - ran when parked 5 years ago. Gas tank lock is frozen. Left side cover isn't on the bike but is in my garage - it looks fine. Newer Continental tires. If you could get the stupid gas cap open and clean the carbs (and probably replace the battery), it's ready to go. |
